Who Is Dr. Deniz İkbal İlhan?
Over the course of my professional career spanning more than 20 years, I have actively practiced across all branches of dentistry. Due to my particular interest in implantology and aesthetic dentistry, I pursued advanced scientific training in these fields. Since 2007, I have been performing modern implant treatments and aesthetic smile design procedures at my clinic with high success rates.
In August 2022, I opened my second clinic on Abdi İpekçi Avenue in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, with the aim of bringing my professional journey to a wider audience. Today, I continue to serve my patients at my new location by combining the unparalleled experience gained from tens of thousands of treatments with the most up-to-date digital techniques and state-of-the-art equipment. With the same excitement I felt on my very first day, I take great pleasure in building healthy and aesthetic smiles.

During your first appointment, a comprehensive intraoral examination is performed. When necessary, a digital panoramic X-ray is taken to examine your teeth, gums, and jaw structure in detail. A personalized treatment plan is created based on your existing problems and aesthetic expectations.
Thanks to the modern local anesthesia techniques applied at our clinic, you will not feel any pain during the procedures. Mild sensitivity after treatment can be easily managed with the simple pain relievers we recommend.
The placement of the implant is generally a short procedure lasting 15 to 30 minutes. A waiting period of 2 to 3 months may be required for the implant to integrate with the bone. Implants can be applied to any adult who is in suitable general health and has sufficient bone structure. In cases of bone deficiency, the process can be supported with bone powder (graft) applications.
Implants are made of titanium, which is fully biocompatible with the body. A situation such as "the body rejecting them" does not occur; however, neglecting oral hygiene may affect the success rate.
Although the smile design process varies depending on the procedures to be performed, it is generally completed in 2 to 3 sessions (within approximately 7 to 10 days). Thanks to our digital design methods, you can see in advance what your smile will look like at the end of the treatment.
No. In the laminate veneer procedure, only very minimal preparation (0.3 to 0.7 mm) is performed on the front surface of the teeth, or in some cases, they are applied without any preparation at all (no-prep). The natural structure of the tooth is preserved to the maximum extent.
Professional whitening procedures performed under dentist supervision do not cause permanent damage to the tooth enamel. Temporary sensitivity that may last 24 to 48 hours after the procedure is possible, and this is completely normal.
In accordance with the recommendation of the World Dental Federation, we recommend that the first check-up be performed after the eruption of the first primary tooth or by the age of 1 at the latest. This both prevents the development of "dental anxiety" and ensures that preventive measures are taken in a timely manner.
